A member of the carrot family, chervil is a fernlike plant with light green leaves which look similar to parsley. Classed by the French as a ‘fines herbes’, chervil is renowned for its sweet pleasant flavour which has a hint of liquorice and aniseed, as well as its unique aromatic scent.
